Premio Demetrio Stratos alla carriera a Diamanda

La giuria del Premio Internazionale Demetrio Stratos, ha
comunicato i nomi dei musicisti e i progetti selezionati per le due
sezioni, premio alla carriera a Diamanda Galas.
La giuria del Premio Internazionale Demetrio
Stratos, composta da Patrizio Fariselli, Gerd Rische, Walter Prati,
Claudio Chianura e Daniela Ronconi Demetriou (Presidente) ha comunicato
i nomi dei musicisti e i progetti selezionati per le due sezioni
in concorso. Il premio alla carriera č stato assegnato alla cantante/musicista
DIAMANDA GALAS. Il premio per il miglior progetto di artisti emergenti
č stato assegnato a Romina Daniele, nata nel 1985 a Napoli e residente
a Milano. Diamanda Galas ritirerŕ il premio in occasione del prossimo
Meeting delle Etichette Indipendenti di Faenza, il 26 novembre 2005.
Per l'occasione, Diamanda Galas terrŕ un incontro/seminario sulla
vocalitŕ sperimentale a Milano il 25 novembre (luogo in via di definizione).
All'incontro parteciperŕ anche Romina Daniele, che avrŕ poi l'opportunitŕ
di realizzare un proprio progetto negli studi di musica elettronica
dell’Akademie der Künste di Berlino con il supporto della Fondazione
Musica Musicisti & Tecnologie di Milano. Il seminario di Diamanda
Galas sarŕ articolato nell'arco di una giornata e avrŕ come tema
le forme e le tecniche della sperimentazione vocale che l’artista
ha esplorato nel corso del proprio lavoro.Il Concorso č stato promosso
dalla Fondazione MM&T, da Auditorium Edizioni e dall’Akademie
der Künste di Berlino, con il contributo dalla Provincia di Milano,
Settore Cultura, e la collaborazione del Meeting delle Etichette

The Demetrios Stratos Award for the Career to Diamanda Galás

The jury of the Demetrio Stratos International Award has given the
names of the
selected musicians and projects, career award to Diamanda Galas.
The jury of the Demetrio Stratos International Award, whose members
were
Patrizio Fariselli, Gerd Rische, Walter Prati, Claudio Chianura and
Daniela
Ronconi Demetriou (as the President), has given the names of the
selected
musicians and projects for the two competing sections.
The career award has been granted to the singer/musician Diamanda
Galás.
The award for the emerging artist best project has been assigned to
Romina
Daniele, born in 1985 in Naples and living in Milan.
Diamanda Galás will receive the award during the next Meeting of
Independent
Labels in Faenza, on November 26th 2005.
For the occasion, Diamanda Galás will hold a meeting/seminar on
experimental
vocalism on November 25th in Milan (venue to be defined yet), with the
presence
also of Romina Daniele, who will have then the chance of carrying out
one of
her projects in the Electronic Music Studios of the Akademie der Künste
in
Berlin, with the support of the Music, Musicians and Technologies
Foundation in
Milan.
Diamanda Galas’s seminar will last a whole day and will deal with the
forms and
techniques of vocal experimentation that the artist has been exploring
during
the course of her work.
The Competition has been promoted by the MM&T Foundation, by Auditorium
Edizioni and by the Akademie der Künste in Berlin, with the
contribution of the
Milan Province, Arts Councillorship, and of the Meeting of Independent
Labels
in Faenza.
