As a Greek artist of the Diaspora, I was invited as a composer to Greece to participate in the Olympics and when I met with the committee and discussed the performance of DEFIXIONES:ORDERS FROM THE DEAD, the Turks ( I mean, the Hellenes), said, "Oh, no, you must not risk alienating the Turks." I will leave the rest to the imagination.
....After the Olympics, I was then apprised of the FORTUNE that was spent on inviting non-Greek citizenry to perform pop music at the opening ceremony and all the pomp and circumstance with unnecessary and expensive theatricality throughout, for which the poor are paying now... A real pustimalaka thing to do, in my opinion, a real French thing to do. I believe the Greek singers like the great Marinella were invited to sing on the last day of the Olympics as a kind of nostalgic respect Greek's "past" glories... Marinella is NOT a PAST glory. She is singing her ass off. She is a goddess. Tι είναι αυτά τα σκατά?
Greece has no time or money left for its students, its old farmers, who work like animals, its truck drivers, or any young worker, to be sure; its debts are in the billions for "saving Greek face." Saving Greek ASS would have been a better idea. But even THAT was exported to Cyprus for the Olympics. "We have no streetwalkers in Athens! Mη μου μιλάς!" Of course, the rich kologeroi all have call girls anyway. They aren't on the street with the working girls and the millions of other mikrogatakia killed to clean Greece up for the Olympics.
Again, however, in the interests of saving Greek face, the richest of the Greeks, owning "Greek" basketball teams, has just invited another yet another overmedicated overfed and overpaid American player to play on his Greek team.
As a Maniatissa, I find this repulsive. NΙΚΗ Η ΘΑΝΑΤΟΣ! If your own people can't jump, "foggedaboudit" and play ANOTHER game. Or train harder. Or figure out another way to play the game so you don't have to import tall halfwits who can't even sign their name on their passports.

Until the students/activists, farmers, truck drivers, writers, and internet bloggers put an alert to the crap going on in Greece—upon the killing of Alexandros Grigoropoulos—Greece was perceived a tourist camp to the rest of the world. Now things have changed and solidarity has emerged internationally from non-Greek students/activists, farm workers, artists, and other underpaid workers.
Maybe a pile of 7,000,000 dead gatakia at the feet of exiled Greek, Eastern European and Russian prostitutes (and other Pontic "brides") will make a great memorial to the disappeared Grecian pussy of the 2004 Athenian Olympics entitled: The Immaculate Conception.
IN THE MEANTIME IS NO TIME FOR FORGETTING. ALL THE ISSUES ABOVE ARE AS INTIMATELY RELATED AS THE VOTES FOR A STREET IN THESSALONKI HONORING ATATURK. THANKFULLY THE HEAD OF THAT VOTING COMMITTEE WAS KILLED IN A CAR CRASH.
